I think the first one looks amazing. I never found a good nursing chair or rocker, so I would have definitely given this a try. It looks so comfy!

Kelly, my husband had the same problem with voting and managed to figure it out minutes before my survey ended. I know it's too late now, but I think the key was scrolling down to the bottom of the page and logging in again, under the "post a comment" section. Even though it kept saying he was already logged in when he'd try to answer the survey, it needed him to log in again at the bottom of the page. Once he did that it was fine.

I was actually coming here to ask you a question about your dresser. I think we have almost the exact same one and we've been neglecting it for years. We picked it up at a thrift shop for next to nothing because half the finish was rubbed off and it's just not in the best shape. We keep saying we're going to do something about it, but you know, haven't. :) Did you sand it down before painting? Did you put any top coat on? Have you had any problems with the drawers sticking or anything? I have to admit I'm a little nervous at the thought of painting over this beautiful wood, but we gotta do something.

The pictures on your blog are so cute, especially the one of your daughter checking herself out in the mirror. I would have loved something like this when I was a kid, and even through my early teen years. Definitely keeping this in the back of my head for future incarnations of my daughter's room.

In the last picture, what is the artwork with the stenciled letters? Did you and your children make that? I really love it.

I missed the chance to vote in this survey, but I really love these bins so much. Definitely my favorite entry!

P.S. I'm jealous of that dollhouse, I totally wanted to get that for Sylvie! It looks so much bigger than I expected it to be, hmmm, maybe for her next birthday...

This is a great space for a playroom. I love the Flor tiles too. It seems like a really fun room!

One other thing - Selena, maybe it's our rental grade carpet that keeps the tables in place? It's a cheap and bumpy berber, so it probably gives good traction. If these tables were pushed together on a smooth floor I'm guessing they'd need to be anchored together.

And I also meant to say that yes, those are vintage Sesame Street figures!! They were my husband's set when he was Syl's age and they've been passed around his family for years.

Thanks for the compliments! It was just dumb luck that the baskets fit so well under the tables and the whole thing was so cheap! Keri, that's cool about Target offering similar floor bins! That was my first place searching for baskets but the only things that came close to what I wanted in my store were $30 each and not tall enough.

Selena, here is a link for the LoN floor bins.

The page says they're 16 inches in diameter and 15 inches high. The tables are I think 21 inches square and about 15-16 inches high, so the baskets just fit under the tops. Also, we definitely expected to have to anchor the tables together to create a streamlined top without any gaps or spaces, but we pretty much realized as soon as we set it up that it wasn't necessary. The tables are a decent weight and just don't pull apart. About falling toys or them getting knocked over, well Sylvie enjoys pushing her toys off the edge, does that count? :)

This is so great!! And I have to admit that for the past 24 hours I've been obsessively checking craigslist for old lockers in my area!
