well...I realize you can't link to the articles. I mean I'll just see the pictures on their blogs. Maybe that will get me there, maybe not.

It may be the fact that my web browser at work (not by choice) is IE6, which creates many a problem for me, but I had a hard time viewing/seeing some of the articles.

While printed, white and seafoam/teal/light blue looks great, but there didn't seem to be enough web useability testing...which seems like a good idea for a web magazine.

I love the idea, the links, etc. But the reality is, I'll probably just wait for design bloggers to link to the articles (which is what everyone did w/Domino), so I'll just read it that way.

I like seeing tours that celebrate color. It makes me feel better about my color obsession. Too many design blogs, etc. I read are all about neutral, white, etc. Then I start to question myself and my need for colorful surroundings.

That red leather chair. Magnificent!

They do work okay if the picture/frame is very, very light and/or small. Otherwise in two weeks you will have artwork on your floor.

Where they work GREAT is small picture frames on wood paneling. Those suckers have been hanging in there for 4 months.

Sam-if not for the crate, how would you deal with a puppy while being gone 8 hours a day?

If I want my house and puppy to both be safe, then the crate is the only option when I can't be watching or playing with him.

#6 patience

and lots and lots of toys, a big variety of toys. We have two labs--a 14 week old pup and a 9 year old man. Neither one has been destructive to our furniture/belongings because they have a crap load of toys to play with.

I was terrified to bunch all my art together on the biggest wall in my house because it is across from a huge built in bookcase. Now that I've seen it done well, I'm afarind no more!

I covered my country blue inspired tile from a previous owner with a thermoplastic backsplash. I like it a lot and it was easy to put up. You can use tape or glue.

My in-laws have an aerial photo of their farm on their mantel. Its fun for the grandkids to see how the farm and its buildings spreads out. You can distinctly see my husband's childhood bike in the photo, which makes him (not-so) secretly happy.

ageed Clampers--I just bought the 4 shelf chrome wire shelf from Home Depot for half the price of the Metro shelving from Williams Sonoma and Intermetro from Container store. Looks pretty good to me!

Its not design, but...please, please stop in at Borgo http://www.borgovino.com/, just around the corner from for the San Lorenzo market. I got the most amazing fresh pressed olive oil, local wine and unreal balsalmic vinegar.

Our walls are textured, otherwise I would have bought on of those. Instead, I got one of these for our fridge and one for my neice as part of her high school graduation gift:

Great idea. I just hung all my earrings using cooling racks hung on the wall for the same reason--i was always wearing the same ones because I couldn't see all of them.

Clampers-The Library of Congress gift shop has some similiar-ish prints. The search function is a bit clunky but there is fun stuff.

i have issues with oversized representations of small objects.

Life size pencils? yuck. enormous paperclip hung on my wall? heebie jeebies. big ass tea cup? i think i'll pass, mainly because it makes me want to pass out.

I just used the 3M command picture hanging strips with silver picture frames and it was super easy!

I've done a couple of groupings of pictures and I've found its really helpful to arrange (and rearrange) on a flat surface and take pictures of the arrangements. You get a better sense of how they look together.
