We typically pop in for Neuske bacon or wine, but their restaurant is pretty great as well. The brunch in particular is really good, and I've never had to wait for a table in the morning.

One more vote for Wal-Mart Baby Mod. We have the Olivia and it is not only attractive and affordable, but much more solid than anything I've seen from a big box store. This is the first and only thing I've bought from Wal-Mart in ten years, but... its fantastic.

I have a boxer/pitbull mix who loves nothing more than sleeping in our full size bed with my husband, the cat, and me. After a lot of debating we've started locking her out at night which makes her (and us) a little sad.

Its just hard having her taking up half the bed in the hot and muggy weather. But we let her sneak in in the mornings and on weekends. And on cold nights she'll be a shoo-in.

This public librarian (read: makes peanuts) would give this chair a very, very good home.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who's been putting off floors. I know they need it, especially since we're trying to find ways to be both dog friendly AND not dog smelly.

Off to buy some new flowers! :)

This is a pretty great idea. Maybe this would be a good project for The Cure. Hmmmm.

At the risk of sounding a little too emo, I'm partial to Bright Eyes' cover of Blue Christmas.

But to prove I can handle a system this rad, I'd like it in redredred!

These are so beautiful. I'm particularly enamored of those espresso cups and saucers.

Because I'm the girl that you see staring longingly at the flat panels in Best Buy. Film geek to the core, I dream of a gorgeous set like some people dream of the perfect Eames lounger.

When we moved to our 600 square foot apartment, my brother gave us his boxy old Sharp to have and to hold. It is still our one and only TV, and we're aching for an upgrade.

My husband and I are celebrating our two-year anniversary on Monday. We met on the movie talk-radio show he hosted in college, With both spent our lean years working in a hip indie video store, and we spent our honeymoon at the Toronto Film Festival. We both know it's a crime to keep watching Lynch films in fuzzy letterbox format, but we can't help ourselves. Its our TVs fault.

I can guarantee that the first time I see Woody Allen's Manhattan on my very own big flat screen, I'll cry.

This is such a beautiful place. One of the most down to earth, livable, and lovely homes I have seen on AT. Kudos.

Don't forget to try this in libraries as well. The Oak Park Public Library has beautiful design elements as well as an independently owned coffee shop inside. Then you can check things out to take home with you when you're done perusing the goods.

I have a whole cleaning mix set up on iTunes that I let shuffle while I scrub, mop, and dust. It boils down to a lot of Justin Timberlake, Talking Heads, and energetic New Wave.

We have about 650 sq feet for two in Chicago and I love it. We had about 900 sq feet at our last two places in cheaper areas in the Midwest, and we had to size down when we moved here. I always found that our 2nd bedroom just ended up being a gathering area for the things we didn't need/didn't want to look at, and ended up being wasted space.

I know if we expand the family someday we may need another bedroom, but I don't think I ever want to go above 1000 sq feet. Small is cool.

Your library might have a queue! A lot of library catalogs have that feature - you just might now know it exists.

I know I'm a little late on this, but as a librarian that avidly reads this site I wanted to add my $.02. I hope you remember that not only should every child have access to great books, but that librarians are often the last bastion keeping those books in their school and public libraries. There are legions of groups out there that are hoping to ban hundreds of books from libraries that they don't want your kids to read. Make sure you talk to your librarian and school administration, and let them know you support the right for your child to read any book they choose.

Sorry. Rant over. Back to Eames.
