I am in no way whatsoever a prude or offended by porn or watching it or talking about it. However, this does not belong here. I come to this blog for INTERIOR DESIGN. If you cannot deliver on that, if you aren't creative enough to write about that, then why should I bother coming here anymore? Why Does My Partner Watch Porn? I can't decide which I'd do more of, constantly look down all freaked out about the floor cracking and dropping me to my death, or constantly look down all freaked out about someone sneaking into the bottom of that looking up at me. Either way, it's nonstop fear. It's very clever and beautiful and I want it but would never be able to function in there. Unless she stores her shoes on the floor like that I see no point in showing us that first picture. Her place feels way too staged and not genuine. I was thoroughly disappointed in this tour. I don't think a reshoot is in order, it should have just been a house call, not a tour. Krystal's San Francisco Studio House Tour |

Well then I think you need to take your view of "scathing" down a notch. That party was not at all something intended to be "PURELY JOYOUS" because if it was, she wouldn't have presented it online for everyone. It was clearly intended to be a joyous celebration for her family and friends, and an expression of herself...that she then wanted attention for (which is not a bad thing, this site wouldn't exist without that). But when you put things out there you're asking to be judged, but there's the risk that the judgement you receive isn't always what you hoped. Best Kids Parties: Eames Elephants My Party |

@patrick (the other one) - Please take it down a notch. Fallingup wasn't saying she was a professional party planner, she said she's done a ton because she's a mother of four. She did not leave any "scathing comments" either. This is what is so irritating now about AT comments, if you leave a comment with anything other than "OMG best thing ever," then the negativity hounds attack. I see such negativity and rudeness and insulting comments from people acting like they're the nice guys with it directed at the people that had the nerve to not love something. Drop the rhetoric. @junebug28 - Whoa such harshness from someone claiming to be condemning negativity. Overreact much? The mother already had her fun. I didn't crash the party and stomp all over the cake, I just recognized the obvious - that it was a total trendy hipster party for the adults, big deal, have a little fun with life. I'm sure everyone at the party had a blast, especially that cute little boy and his mother. She got to enjoy it, and then shared it with the world. No need for you to viciously attack people with silly words of "thoughtless," "rude," "bitterness," and "ugliness." Best Kids Parties: Eames Elephants My Party |

@Stream13: You do know that someone isn't literally shouting in your face, right? It's still just words on a screen, and when you complain about someone using all caps online, it's annoying. Thrift Store Rescue: DIY Rubber Hose Chair Sunset |

Thanks to the people that went back and read the comments she used as examples. I was already feeling insulted at the nature of this article and now I resent the lesson in manners from someone that is holding a weird grudge over the few non complimentary comments she received, especially when she wasn't honest about the quotes or their context. @CityChik Try reading all the comments up there, some people were pretty mean to the ones that didn't like it. I agree these posts should be open to opinions but it seems like if someone says anything other that "I love it" then there's a group that will go into attack mode. Frankly I am absolutely sick of the paint everything crowd whining about people that think something looks better with wood, and while they're whining they accuse those people of being the whiners. I'm in the paint crowd, personally I like the dresser. But I have to say the "wood fetish" people (and yeah the person that said that was being insulting) seem to have more maturity. @cary2fred How about if we like it but don't like how mean people were to the people that nicely said they didn't? Someone called people monsters for not liking it that's so wrong. Before & After: A Chest of Drawers Gets Paper Sourced Fine Diving |
