I LOVE my ice maker (I used it daily even in the winter) and it broke a few months ago so you can imagine the state I was in ;-) Not much of a DIYer, I was able to fix it myself after reading this guide: http://www.selfhelpandmore.com/appliances/fix-your-icemaker-yourself.php

The problem was the valve. Thank go it works perfectly again and I have the satisfaction of knowing I did it myself.

Because I'm lazy, I just bought a complete toilet repair kit at Home Depot (as advised here:http://www.selfhelpandmore.com/appliances/three-repairs-you-dont-need-a-pro-for.php) and replaced all the moving parts. Ah.

When is it too late to "winterize" your lawn? It's hard to find this specific information--I've been looking. Is it futile after the first freeze? The article below says to aerate before the first freeze, but can I do it after? Help.
