That is an idea I was thinking about too, everythingistaken, but then I worried about the plastic bags sticking to the fabric, or making it wrinkle when stuffing which would show up on the finished animal. Clear plastic sticking would still be better than the fuzzy mess I have stuck up in the animal now and the tail not being able to be unstuffed though.

Melicoop the pattern was real easy to follow and took no time at all. The original doll had the stuffed fox bottom sewed together and her lamp fox has the bottom just wide open with a little curve cut out for the wiring to go through. I also thought about making a bottom. It would be really easy but you'd probably have to stiffy is separately and then sew attach it later, maybe with glue.

I know this is late but I just decided to tackle this project today and I agree with burdie4 all the way. The stuffing is not coming out of the body of the fox all the way and I can't imagine even trying to get it out of the tail. This was supposed to be a gift but I don't think I can give it now. I have even tried the duck tape/pencil comment and that is not taking any out.

I looked on the original blog for comments and tips and even though there are almost 200 comments none have to do with making the lamp, they are just comments to win a free bottle of stiffy.

Anyone else make this sucessfully? Any tips?
