I love them! They are actually about $30. They may not be for kids to play with. They may be for adults to make an art like the blocks on the top pic which is 'Mori' in Kanji, means woods or forest in Japanese.

I'm allergic to cats since I was 28, but I have 6 cats now and never ever think about giving them up!
It is said that probiotic food such as yogult is good for immune system. Eat healthy.
Like other people said here, less fabric in a house and wipe floor everyday.
How about wipe the cats with warm wet towel since allergen of cats is protine in their saliva.
Do your best before giving up anyone or anything important to you.

I saw a cloud-shaped headboard in a kid's room on tv commercial in Japan.
That was cute.

Kinda relieved that the condom/cannon poster was in a guest room, not in a living or dining room where more people have chance to see.

Anyway, I love the nursery. The color of the wall, the curtain, the chair and a big giraffe are all great. Especially the "it's a boy" thing hung on the doorknob is cute.

I should play Prof. Layton series, too.

vinty is right. We Japanese don't celebrate the Lunar New Year. I'm over 40 and never have celebrated the Lunar New Year in my life.
Chinese & Korean people living in Japan do.

I'm Japanese, but I've never make kombucha. Amazing!
I always buy Gyokuroen's dried kombucha.
Here is the company's link:

I recommend kombucha with plum flavor. :-)

Oh... .
That is made in China. I'm sure they don't pay royalty to Studio Ghibli, which created the cartoon of Totoro.

BTW, Totoro & other Hayao Miyazaki 's cartoons are so great! Please watch them.

Tokyo, where I live, is 18th?! Thank you so much.:-)
BTW, Melbourne is my most favorite city in Australia.
And Canada! My dream country I have wanted to visit from childhood.
Those are livable and lovable cities.

Traditional Japanese way of decorating that kind of space is hanging a scroll of landscape and putting an object(s) together.

Such as:
Landscape of sky and bird figurine.
Landscape of river and fish figurine. This is good for summer.:-)

Just like you all do, we enjoy each season with decoration.
Have fun! :D and just change the ledge. It's not "zen."

I hate them too! Especially the ones with deerskin. Use fake fur at least.
As a Japanese,, I'm so sad and so ashamed that most of all are made by Japanese. :-(

I said a tearful goodbye to my condo in Tokyo last year.
My husband and I sold it because I was so scared of huge earthquakes would happen again.
I still regret that we sold the condo because there are lots of good memories there. We got married and had lived there for more than 8 years. I had just lost my cat I love the most in my life just 9 days before the earthquake 311 hit Tokyo. I lost so many I love. I won't be as happy as I was then. But life goes on. Sadly.
