My place doesn't have washer or dryers in our units but we have free shared laundry rooms on each floor.
It's disgusting sharing them, people with dogs leave large amount of dog hair, they wash things that shouldn't go into washers.
One couple has a medium sized dog and they continually wash their dog shit/pee with their towels.
I bleach out the washing machines before using them.

I will never again buy a place that I can't have my own W/D.

I fell so far behind already.
I think I have a week of stuff to do this weekend.

So this weekend I'll try to get the landing strip cleaned up and organized.
Bring my giant out box to the Goodwill.
Work on my monthly project (decluttering and cleaning my dresser/tv stand)

Like many people here said check out the neighbors too. If you're only looking at a house an hour or two at a time you wouldn't know the noise level at night or weekends.

Like most people commmented here, no they don't get gifts. The first thing I thougt of was the Carrie Bradshaw episode (engagement, bachelorette, wedding, baby and now a breakup shower?)
I would not go to a shower to give an adult household items they could buy for themselves.
I would take a friend out for drinks.

Why the strategically placed flower vase in the first picture?

My first reaction was wondering what they were thinking painting a row house like this.
After seeing their blog and more photos it does look much better painted. The before looked like rundown government funded housing that we have here in MN. Their neighbors have dirty and broken blinds with a horrible porch, if the neighbors don't care what their own house looks like why would they care if the house next to them is painted.

At resorts in the tropics they're many bars with swings it's fun with drinks but I wouldn't want it at home.
