Great idea except most people try to refrain from using their phones in restaurants - an excellent idea. God help us if we can't do mental math to calculate a tip. I'm guessing using your phone to ask Siri the tip would be like advertising to the nearby tables that you're are too lame-brained to do the math and perhaps that you are too cheap to leave a reasonable percentage tip. Did you look at the Studio Desk from BlueLounge? It is similar in design but has some very interesting features to manage cords. I doubt it is quite the quality of the Hermann Miller but at $600 or $800, depending on size, it is quite a bit less expensive and might be a good alternative. I've not physically seen either desk so I don't know what the quality difference actually is. I'd be very interested in hearing from anyone who has. Desk Minimalism: The Bare Essentials |
