Oh and by the way. The private company that bought up the tram system was General Motors (in collaboration with Firestone) I wonder why they dismantled it?

I have lived in LA for 3 years and do not own a car. I travel exclusively by bus or train. Any problems the system has are not with the system but with LA itself. It's cheap, convenient and green!

At the end of the day if someone wants to steal a design or break into the store banning blatant photography isn't going to stop them.

Target is fantastic for all sorts and design wise is often right up my alley. Sometimes it not (little white horses for example)
The assumption that we have no style or taste by shopping there is ridiculous and offensive. I also shop at Ikea. Does my home look like a page from a catalogue? (I should be so lucky at this point) No it doesn't because I ALSO shop at thrift stores, ebay, etsy and I personalise things.
Quite honestly I think some people need to get off there little white jonathan adler horses....

Since when did we advocate the way POW's are treated?

Also my husband is a strict vegetarian. He doesn't eat meat or fish or any animal by products. He also does not wear ANY animal products nor would he own a leather sofa OR a cowhide rug. It is wrong to assume all vegetarians are hypocritical.

Also fine leathers are not likely to come from cows bred for beef.

I am not a vegetarian. I am not offended by the use of the rug (though it wouldn't be allowed in my house ;) )
I simply do not like it! I don't think it'd be particularly comfy underfoot either!

Oh and to answer your question ValHalla. It tracks your progress by weighing you everyday giving you your BMI. Doing balance tests to check your core stability progress and at the end of the test giving you a 'wii fit age'. Your actual age compared to your fitness age. (the first day on I was ten years older, I'm now after a week one year younger!)
Also the better you get at certain exercise you unlock advanced levels, increased repetitions and new games!
My 60 year old mother is so impressed she's considering buying one instead of a cross trainer.

P.S I don't work for Nintendo!!!

I heart my wii fit.
My husband and I had a debate. Five months gym membership or a wii plus wii fit.
We went with the wii fit as at the end of five months of gym membership we may well have wasted our money (i.e not going) but the end of five months regardless if we were any fitter we'd still have have our wii!!!
That said I'm exercising almost everyday. Something I have NEVER done before. It's extremely motivating and super fun. I definitely recommend!

As a Brit I feel your pain. These chairs are so so so cheap in the UK and so so common (they're practically a summer staple) yet over here finding them is impossible (cheaply anyhow) Sling chairs is definitely a better search term over here (try deck chair/beach chair) but do try the UK Ebay as they aren't (or at least shouldn't be) very expensive. Good Luck.

I have had no experiences with this bed in particular but my husband and I bought a different metal bed from ikea (the kind with the metallic powder coating v.cheap) We actually sanded it down slightly and used a patina coating set (from Michaels) and it looks great. So painting is most definitely an option.
Good Luck.

I have a mirror from ikea that I haven't actually attempted to hang yet but it came with hardware that would give this effect. Not sure about screwing it into tiles though. Good luck.

I found a fantastic yellow danish modern fondue set on ebay for $5 including forks. There's often tons on there! Haven't used it yet though.... so you'd melt the cheese on the stove first and then add it to the fondue pan or can you really melt it the fondue set?

I don't know about you but is anyone else strangely attracted to the pastel, floral bench like faux sofa?

Personally, (sorry to kill the buzz) I cannot shop at Gilly's any longer... the (I presume owner) is always rude and the flowers are overpriced (I paid $30 for 6 stems last week - they're pretty just not $30 pretty) If you want really unusual flowers and really unusual prices try the LA Downtown flower market. I bought some very beautiful flowers (I'd never seen them before in my life could not name them) It was a full bouquet (at least 10 stems) , they cost $6 and they lasted three weeks. (No joke)
