I love my Bertazzoni stove - it performs well, has plenty of power for my non-restaurant cooking, and has a wonderful feel to it (the knobs, the flow of gas, etc.). I much prefer the experience of using it to my MIL's Wolf stove. Faith's Kitchen Renovation: The Confusing Journey of Buying Kitchen Appliances Renovation Diary: Faith's Budget Luxe Kitchen |

I have a neighbor downstairs who makes the entire building reek of fish on a regular basis. Somehow she cooks it in a way that causes a deeply fishy, distinctly unpleasant smell to permeate the hallways and seep into our apartment (I'm guessing that she pan fries it on high heat, but I'm not sure). I actually really like fish, but this smell is awful. She is Chinese, and I wonder whether this is a traditional method of cooking. I made a version of this, which I loved. I used 1/4 cup of olive oil (I thought 1/2 cup was way too much), 1/2 cup of maple syrup, 1 cup of almonds, 1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds, 1/2 cup of flaked coconut, and slightly less salt than was called for (call me crazy, but I don't like my granola to be discernibly salty). Delicious! It was rich and flavorful and sweet, without overdoing it. Watch Out! Dangerously Addictive Olive Oil Granola Recipe Review |

I love making edible gifts! This year I plan to make ginger cookies, orange and thyme shortbread cookies, and some spiced nuts. All three are awesome recipes. In the past I've made Robert Linxe's truffles (plain and spiked), French-style nougat, and candied citrus peel—if I had unlimited time and $, which I don't, I'd make all of these things again. I love the look of the Reese sofa—I think it's by far the most attractive sleeper sofa with arms. I really, really wanted it. Best Sleeper Sofas Sofa Beds 2010 | Apartment Therapy New York |

We wanted to hire Myk, but he declined the project—three radiator covers. Too small of a job for him. I'm glad he's successful, but that leaves those of us who need a good carpenter but not a wall of bookcases in quite a pinch. Does anyone know of another good carpenter, one who would take a job of radiator-cover size? Myk Henry: Carpenter | Apartment Therapy New York |

Amazing that so many of the comments just attack one another. This is a space for opinions—it's not bad that some people find it beautiful, and others find it too cluttered for their taste! And it's not bad that some people take mild offense at a comment, and others don't. Making fun of commenters, berating others' tastes...not cool. Really, really fast: Dice some ripe pear, drizzle a bit of honey over it, and sprinkle a few chopped walnuts on top. For a fancier version, slice the pears thinly and fan them out on a plate. Delicious combination. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Cooking By Feel: What Are Your Best Fast Desserts? |

The ivory sofa pictured at the top is the MGBW Reese sofaâI think it's incredibly attractive. Such crisp lines, and I love how it's elevated. (Most sleeper sofas sit on the ground with a clunky skirt.) I've been thinking of getting it for a while. Apartment Therapy New York | Best Sleeper Sofas Sofa Beds 2008 |
