Disgusting, and I agree with the person who said they wished they could "un-see" it. There is something so gross about that picture...ewwwww.

I think bepsf means mesclun...not mescaline! Although old paint would probably bump up the psychadelic powers of the mescaline!

Agree, that last picture is unsettling. I'd like to see the bedding in person but I would never put it on my bed.

Does anyone know how to clean grout that it NOT supposed to be white? I have white tiles and gray grout and the grout has turned white in spots. Would love to get it back to dark gray. Thanks!

I can go all weekend without ever having to use my car! In Santa Monica it's beach cruisers all the way! I'm one block from the beach, tons of great coffee shops, and sushi, and biking distance from the library, stores, the gym, yoga and just about anything else! My place is small but this is California and you can be outside all day if you want.

I love my neighborhood but don't see myself EVER able to afford to buy a place here. Until them, I'm staying in my rent-controlled apartment and loving every minute!

I love it! I've gone a month without spending, and did it when I lived in NYC so it was VERY challenging to figure out the meal (and transpo) situation. I ended up needing to buy a Metrocard during that month but I saved over $800 and really didn't miss most everything that I went without.

(Of course, at a certain point I was scarfing Q-Tips from my gym!)

About a week ago I heard a great report on NPR about how real estate agents are going far beyond the "baking cinnamon buns and washing windows" route when it comes to making a house feel livable.

They are now hiring actors to play neighbors, and these people interact with potential buyers in a casual way. They even stage Little League games with child actors, full church services with actors, and actors to jog around the neighborhood and wave to you as they run by. Crazy! Obviously this isn't so much of a concern in Boston, but it's very interesting to think about the lengths that agents are trying to go to especially in those neighborhoods that have tons of foreclosed homes.

They had a report from a family who didn't realize until they moved in that the entire neighborhood was basically empty, because it had been stocked with actors during every showing.

Ughhh...sometimes the sloppy editing on this site makes me crazy.

"reaching demise" not "reaching its demise."

"plans using her space..."

"wallpaper <is> from Deborah" not "wallpaper are from Deborah."

I love candles that smell like things baking...there's a vanilla cupcake one that is wonderful. I think of it as a fatfree way to enjoy something delicious!

...but I can't stand incense, it gives me a headache.

I would never do that in someone else's home, but it also wouldn't bother me if someone did it in mine. As long as they don't open the goodie drawer next to the bed, it's all good. I think the ultimate compliment of how comfy your home is is if a friend falls asleep curled up with a blanket on my chair or sofa.
