I feel like this encapsulates the essence of this contest - it's about creatively using small spaces and working to make them your home. I love the plywood look, and the fact that it's recycled. Awesome. Favorited. Aaron's Opportunity to Experiment Small Cool Contest |

I love the "grandma-y" look of the living room. It's cozy and quirky and cool. Elizabeth & Derek's Lots to Love Small Cool Contest |

@Bklynkiki - yes, it's contact paper. I *think* I got it at the Home Depot on 23rd St in Manhattan, but I'm not 100% sure. It was a couple of years ago and it was only supposed to be temporary until I could put up a grownup backsplash, but I fell in love with it and it proved remarkably durable despite a lot of steamy cooking sessions! I chalkboard-painted the inside of my hideous hulking beige metal apartment door, which happens to open into my kitchen. I use it to write down things I need to remember when I leave the house ("Mail check!" "Don't forget lunch!") or notes to visiting friends or my cat-sitter when I'm out of town. Kinyama, he kept the full-sized fridge - it's either in storage or in another of his properties. The mini-fridge is coming with me when I leave. Anna's Cheerful Oasis of a Kitchen |

I love the music theme throughout... especially the notation behind the bed. Lovely touch. What piece is it? Small Cool 2010: Thomas's Larger-Than-Life Broccoli Teeny Tiny Division #33 | Apartment Therapy San Francisco |

So adorable... sophisticated and a little bit cheeky at the same time, like a grownup doll house. Also, I'm so happy to see another small, cool kitchen with a mini fridge! I just got one for mine and made my landlord cart the space- and energy-hogging old one away, and it opens up the space SO much. Total thumbs up. I love the repetition of light blue with pops of red throughout. It makes the space look airy, light and fun... and WAY bigger than it is. Great job! Small Cool 2010: Jose's Sheer Smallness Teeny Tiny Division #10 | Apartment Therapy Los Angeles |

This article is a giant tease! You show two adorable space-saving tables, and then it turns out you're talking about mirrors and a rug. Gee, uhm... thanks. 10 Small Space Solutions That Come In Under $100 | Apartment Therapy Boston |

I love seeing DIY stuff - I mean, seriously, anyone can order crap from Ikea. I thought creativity with space was sort of the point of this contest? I like the benches a lot, but think they'd look better (and probably be comfier) with cushions. And I LOVE the cool green wall decorations in the hallway. Is that wallpaper or decals or what?
