I lived in temporary housing through airbnb.com when I first moved to London until I was able to get a feel of where I wanted to live. I found my current place through a speedflatmating.com event. Think speed dating but finding a flatmate instead of a date. Another option to try when looking for a flat.

As someone who also went to Italy this past year for my first solo trip, I definitely appreciate this. I'm hopefully getting relocating overseas soon and I think making a calendar of familiar things from back home might be a good idea for me.

I was just in LA a few weeks ago, the layout of your place looks really similar to my friends place downtown. Your not on main st are you? Above Cole's?

I like that you put artwork on top of your kitchen cabinets, I always use that space for storage but this definitely brightens up the space. Might have to steal the idea :)

I'm all about starting fresh but my current apartment is my fave so far as seen in the small cool contest (http://bit.ly/tscool). I found great unique thrifty finds that fit great in my space but I was laid off recently and am really looking into moving overseas to teach English. I think its difficult to let go of the unique/vintagey finds but I am hoping to store the few pieces that I want at my parents or brothers and get rid of the rest.

So put together with fun colors! I love the string lights around the lamp! I may have to copy :)
