Reminder: This is a contest intended to be fun. There are different size catagories (check the rules) with 1000ft. being "SMALL" which in this contest is considered the biggest catagory. Tinee Tiny is the smallest catagory which is 300ft and under with catagories inbetween. I look forward to this contest every year as it is fun to see how other people live AND learn new ways to live with less. I have found in this blog; there are no "rules" regarding having a bigger apartment.(except for this contest) Geeez lighten up. I assume all of us use our own hard earned money to pay our rent so it really is no one's business as to size; except for this FUN and IDEA laden contest! :>) Must-See Small Cool Homes: Week One Small Cool Contest 2013 |

In fact we are almost finished with a complete whole house organizing project. My husband was the one most insistant about this all at once project. Myself; I have OCD so our home never looks Bad. As a former nurse and a nurse with a degree in interior design. Now that I am disable my first three main hobbes Reading; web researching and watching tv. I know all of the "rules" of design and I have found that after moving into a tiny apartment sometimes the "rules" are made for much bigger homes. Long story short I did sell the bigger furniture and bought an apartment size sofa and two regular sized (not small and not over sized) recliners. The 42" TV sits in a corner and there is a 6-10 ft space from the TV. Broke the rules but we are comfortable and happy! The Home Theater Mistake We Keep Seeing Over and Over Again |

I was born in the mid 50's. By the time I was in Jr High my parents bought their final home and it seemed ok to me at the time anyway. It was the size of give or take a few ft of any other house in the subdivision. It was brand new with brand new appliances and some furiture (not all) One bedroom was the norm back then but is was right next to Mu Mom and Dad's bedroom. I recently while cleanout the papers of my late father and the sq footage of that house was 740 sq ft!!! We had huge family get togethers all of the time and it was normal; just like most other kids houses!! (at the time) Oh, and I was an only child. That would make a huge difference I would think; although I had neighbors who had more kids in the same size house! A Small Family Apartment in the City Noroof Architects |

I have not been to the movies in years because I AM Cheap. The last time I wennt was in NYC and it cost us $90.00 for two adults and two children under 10 years (grandchildren, lol) Worth every penny..watching THEM watch the movie. Here at home we live in a very nice apartment with a 60" LCD and Amazon Prime!!! New movies are 4-6dollars for a 48 hor rental; otherwise $2.99 or free!!The cheaper the movies the longer we can watch it.! Interiors Awards: Which Movie Gets Your Vote? |

I own a smartphone because I have to; in this day and age. I hate it. I use it for talking on the phone because everyone we know is lon sistance and all of us have the same carrier. So we get to talk for free. My complaint: I am not old old but my vision isn't what it used to be and Verizon does not have one phone with the quewrty keyboard that I can see. So I am one customer who uses it sinply to make calls; because my huband decided we didnotneed a land line any longer...and I really miss my landline Would You Rather Give Up Sex or Your Smartphone? I am a bit overwhelmed by all of the purple in this room. Also it has too much fruniture; keep it simple; if less furniture; the purple would not br do overwhelming. Good luck! Sacha's "Check This Out" Room Room for Color Contest |
