I live in Vallejo (#6 - represent!), in one of a very few beautiful and safe neighborhoods; although the city has its gems, it's still a God-forsaken crap-hole. Top 20 Most Miserable Cities in America Forbes |

Pottery Barn has this beautiful bright mustard duvet cover. I have it in my grey room, and it's gorgeous. http://www.potterybarn.com/products/matine-toile-duvet-cover-sham-marigold/?pkey=cpatterned-duvet-covers-shams Where To Find Mustard Yellow Bedding? Good Questions |

I have an oval-shaped dutch oven from Cost Plus World Market that I got on sale for $69 and felt like I'd struck gold. I use that bad boy for 95% of my cooking with no shame that it's not Le Creuset. My Uncool Kitchen Tool: A Not-As-Good-As-Le-Creuset Dutch Oven |

I've only ever been able to keep a Japanese Peace Lily alive. I've had it a year and it's looking great. Its leaves droop when it needs water, so it's a built-in reminder, but once I water it, it perks up within an hour or so. Pretty crazy. Confessions of a Plant Murderer |

Vallejo, CA is affordable to buy (especially right now), and only about an hour's commute from San Francisco, the rest of the Bay Area, Sacramento, and the Napa Valley. But we only have like four police officers and areas with a lot of crime. I was fortunate enough to find a small home in a nice, quiet, safe neighborhood for only $136k. I've been searching Craigslist high and low for a Wedgewood or something like it, but once I get one, I'm not sure how to hook it up to the gas line. Dumb question, but is that something I have to hire someone to do? (I'm a clueless first time homeowner) Style Inspiration: Vintage Stoves |

I like Tropical Traditions' brand of coconut oil for cooking and my skin - but it tastes and smells very strongly of coconut: http://www.tropicaltraditions.com/virgin_coconut_oil.htm 15 Non-Edible Uses For Coconut Oil |

@DEBSSS - I keep it in a small jar in the bathroom, scrape out a little with the outside of my fingernail, and just rub it onto my face. It melts right into the skin. 15 Non-Edible Uses For Coconut Oil |

I had a lot of issues with acne as an adult, until I started using coconut oil as a moisturizer about 3-4 years ago. Not only is my acne 99% gone, but I have healthy, glowing, even-toned skin and not a wrinkle yet in sight (I'm in my 30s). I put it on rashes, burns, or other skin ailments and it soothes them really well. 15 Non-Edible Uses For Coconut Oil |
