@KaityB - Regarding the soy issue, I think that the issue with soy (contains compounds similar to estrogen) would only pertain to the tofu. Fermented soy products (i.e. Miso) seem to be in the clear. FWIW Best Simple Supper: Miso Soup with Rice & Poached Egg |

last summer I had a ton of ripe habaneros. I blackened them out on the grill and threw them in the freezer in ziplocks. I have been so happy to have a good habanero supply all year! What Can I Do With All These Very Hot Chili Peppers? Good Questions |

As others have noted, this is Ajvar. In fact, the jars used to say Ajvar on them. A while back they took off the name, but the rest of the packaging on the jar, and the recipe stayed the same. I made the onion rosemary confittura and it was indeed superb. I have heard cautions about canning anything that contains fat, so I used freezer-canning jars and froze them. The Post Office can never seem to match my billing address on any of my credit cards in order to process a change of address online or over the phone. Does this happen to anyone else?
