These may be a bit steep but they make beautiful presents, are completely handmade and every purchase benefits a charity. When I do want to buy one for myself, I always wait for their seconds sale, which happens twice a year at their studio - that's when they sell the pieces that didn't turn out "perfect" at almost 50% off the retail price. However, even these "imperfect" pieces are gorgeous; some have unique color combinations (I bought a white and yellow striped one once), some have an ombre affect, some are shorter/taller/skinnier, etc. I own three glassybaby seconds and you can't even tell that they're seconds!

I second jfinteriors' feelings: I love layers of duvets and blankets but not the pillows. What do you do with them? Do they get tossed onto the floor, nearby chair, etc?

Love the Captain one! Reminds me of one of my favorite Etsy shops, Untamed Menagerie, who does beautiful silhouette jewelry and prints.

It looks lovely but it's bad feng shui so I could never do this. :/

I have several of the plastic boot shapers from the Container Store and they really do work great. The only downside is that if your boots are made of stretchy material (I have a pair made of stretchy micro-suede), the boots can slide right off when you hang them up.

Does anyone know where the lamp in the first picture is from?

I saw the Convertible Compact Desk this weekend when I got the catalog and immediately fell in love with it! If only it was more compatible with my budget...

How about a Chinese button knot? Chinese knotting is a hobby of mine and the button knot is a basic yet flexible design. I've made these simple knots into key chains, jewelry, rearview mirror decor, etc. You could use several different colored cords to match the room's color scheme, too. This is great inspiration and motivation! My mother's out of town for her annual vacation to Taiwan and my siblings and I have decided to clean out and reorganize all her kitchen cabinets. Thank you!
