The way our room is set up (and pretty much the only way it can be set up) means that it makes more sense for my husband to sleep on the right, closer to his dresser, the door and alarm clock since he gets up bright early every weekday. I sleep on the left with the lamp on my side of the bed since I sometimes stay up and read at night. But after he gets up I tend to roll right into the middle, haha. My side used to be the right side in our previous apt. but it just didn't make sense here.

Aka this study is crap and I think practicality and room layout are probably the biggest factors.
