My stove has a drawer on the bottom for large pans. I pulled it all the way out and was able to vac and mop underneath the stove without moving it. It went from gross to great.

I think I just found the tiny side table I've been looking for! Thanks for the inspiration. I think I will go with a chocolate brown and red color scheme.

I resolve to finish all my unfinished projects:

1. varnish the console I stained last summer
2. refinish our old dining table and use as my office desk
3. finish my pile of sewing projects (pillows, curtains, etc.)
4. we live in/own a 3 apartment townhouse with an empty 3rd floor apt. We MUST finish the minor renos and rent it out!
5. basement: wiring, plumbing and sheetrock on the walls, the studs have been in place for 9 months.
6. clean out my disaster of a walk-in closet

when all that's done, we can talk about our half-finished country shack.

Brilliant. I must have one, but I bet it costs a pretty penny to ship from London. sigh
