The red is really grating to me. The layout is good though.

QUESTION RE: BED NOOK

Whenever I see beds like this (including high platform sleepers) it always makes me wonder - how do you change the sheets???

It is a complete hassle? I prefer flat sheets to fitted as I think you get a smoother sheet and it rucks up less = better night's sleep.

Presumably with a bed like that flat sheets are a total no-no.

I'm just trying to imagine even putting on a fitted sheet - at the top end wouldn't you have your weight on the bed.

Plus how do you keep it clean - like down the sides of the matress etc - must be a real dust trap which can't be good for sleeping. How often do you need to take out the matress for a full clean?

It looks pretty but I suspect it must be deeply impractical.

Genuinely interested to know . . .

>>>It feels like a REAL home

Agree completely. I love the bedroom and the chihuahua art with real chihuahua is a nice marrying of style and real life!

1. Get a favourite photograph (black & white could be good here) blown up into a massive poster size (big enough to completely cover the door) and stick it to the door almost like wall paper. It will give the effect of a giant photo in a frame.

2. Depending on how the panel works (door or total removal) you could look into getting some shelves fitted to the front of door and then artfully display some small objet d'art to distract the eye. They wouldn't need to be "straight across" shelves - a couple of those box type/cube shelves arranged in a pattern could do it.
