The couch is a *Gus couch, local designer.
The bookcase is from Craigslist - An old powder-coated steel adjustable like you'd find in an elementary school library. Such a good find!

Thanks, EAM! I should say, our hired painters did most of the work. Although I was pushing them along to finish before move-in-day, so rolled on the urethane myself. They did the taping of the stripes (AKA: the hard part.) Soooo, sorta easy-breezy?? ;)

MattSF - Again, we paid. I never called this a DIY-apartment. Haha. The hardware is pretty serious, because these velvet corduroy drapes are heavy MF'ers.

There are two tracks installed into the ceiling, one for drapes, the other for sheers. Mostly hidden behind the top hem of each. They are deeply burrowed into the concrete ceiling with very intense plugs and screws. In the 10' span, the tracks are bolted in about 12 places. For reals.

Holy spam.

Because our place is so small, the windows keep the whole thing quite bright, yet moody at night, so it never feels cavelike or dark at all, even with all the rich colours.

Nice, patrick (the other one) - I was thinking the same thing. I wonder if anyone is gonna get up-in-arms about the exploitation and the use of him as a prop.
