Tried this last night - have never been so disappointed. Used one banana cut into small pieces frozen for about an hour. My Cuisinart wouldn't even pretend to move. After repeatedly trying to push it around and my food processor making the most scary noises, I gave up.

TWOWHEELER, thanks for the early am chuckles! Yes, that's what dogs are for! My dog also does some combination of obstacle, vacuum, and taste tester. Or when she just wants to be near me, she lays down in the kitchen doorway and watches. She loves fruit and veggies and peanut butter. There are few things she won't eat - mushrooms and lettuce among them. This 20lb cavalier king charles spaniel once took down an entire plate of asparagus when I walked out of a room. I also once left her alone in the room - for one second - with a plate of shrimp with mixed vegetables. Upon returning to the room, the dog spit up an entire unchewed jumbo shrimp and piece of broccoli. She clearly saw her opportunity when I left and glommed!

one would assume it's a sponge cake that is kosher for passover... eg no flour, yeast, leaveners, corn products, etc...

already planning to make these to bring to easter since i observe passover.. my original recipe is the 1 cup sugar (half brown, half white), 1 egg, 1 cup pb. i then lattice the cookie with a fork and make a ganache (bakers chocolate and heavy cream - might use corn syrup if it weren't passover) to turn them into sandwich cookies. also making the almond cookies. almond cookies tend to turn out less heavy and sweet and rich because most almond butters have far less sugar added than your average peanut butter. i also add almond extract.

i live in Manhattan and i had to try several stores to find a store that had more than one brand of almond butter. finally went to a health food store and tried Justin's (loved it!) after having eaten MaraNatha no stir in the past.
