Last year I invested in some LoveSac sactional pieces. We ordered upgraded covers since we have animals that shed alot. I must admit that I was skeptical at first but they have held up great. They are definitely not made of plywood. We have our pieces set up as one arm chair (1 base and 3 sides) and small-ish sofa (2 bases and 4 sides).

This summer we had guests over with small kids (ages 3 and 5) and after they left you would never have known that the kids had jumped up and down on the furniture and spilled drinks and food on them. I just removed the covers, washed them, fluffed the cushins and it was as good as new.

Since the internal frames are made of hardwood, they are super sturdy. My 14 and 10 year old neices were over for the day and spent most of the time sitting on either an arm or back while playing the Wii (which involved a lot of jumping up and down).

As a final testiment to the sturdiness of the frames ... the smoke alarm in my livingroom starting chirping because it was past time to change the battery. We were too lazy to drag the ladder in from the garage, so instead my husband (all 220+ lbs of him) stood on the arm of the LoveSac chair ... the same one the kids had jumped up and down on earlier that week. Needless to say, the battery got changed, the hubby is fine and the chair didn't need anything more than to be pushed back into place in the room.

While the stye of LoveSac furniture may not be for everyone, it fits us just fine and is best furniture we've ever owned. We've owned plenty of Ikea furniture in the past and none of it ever stood up to the wear and tear that our LoveSac Sactional pieces have endured.

p.s. I checked out the HomeReserve furniture suggested by Miss but if you watch the video you can see that the frames are plywood and you slide the padded portions onto the exposed plywood frame pieces. As opposed to the LoveSac pieces which are all pre-covered in fabric and padding. The only exposed wood on the LoveSac pieces are the legs, the connection points and the bottom (the parts facing the floor as in the underside of side) of some of the pieces.
