I think good lentils make a very appropriate Christmas present, after all they are one of the traditional foods people eat in Italy on new year's eve, as a wish for money and prosperity. I am glad you like the Umbrian ones, I have always thought they are the best, but I am biased as I come from Umbria too :). I am not sure whether it was this brand - but I think they had Castelluccio lentils at Eataly in New York. My New Favorite Ingredient: Special Tiny Lentils from Umbria |

I am not so sure plants in the bedroom are such a good idea. As far as I know they create fresh air during the day by absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen but RELEASE CO2 during the night... a small plant probably wouldn't make a big difference but I definitely wouldn't put lots of them, especially if you close the door.
