I have a Tempur Delux which sits on a very ordinary slat based wooden bed frame. I also have a back with 2 titanium rods running from my chest to my hips and 26 screws attached. I LOVE my bed. Unlike Maxwell, I spent a good 6 months in my bed recovering from this massive surgery. I can't recommend it highly enough. 3 years later and I haven't got a single complaint. I wake up rested and restored. I can sleep on my back (as I had to for those six months) or my side and my back is fully supported. I live in a sub-tropic climate in Australia and never have any issues through the hot & humid summer. Always happy to go to bed! Lessons Learned: Reliving Maxwell's \"A Year in Bed\" |

I'm working on it. The project list is longer than Santa's, I'm highly motivated, but severely constrained by my back as I wait for my surgeon to return from his holiday to sort out the two rods in my back that have snapped! (gruesome image, I know!! Imagine how it feels!!) No housework allowed, no lifting etc. I'm bringing in the reinforcements to do what I cannot. Maybe this will mean I get to sit in my study and get it organised while my angelic, karma believing friends bust-a-move with the vacuum and mop. I love my art and my kids. Most of these suggestions are totally impractical if you have both in your home. But I really am looking for ideas as I have limited wall space and lots of art and lots of kids. Well...more art than kids. Perhaps another post? 10 Unconventional Ways to Hang Art |

From character to bland - oh dear! Why do so many people feel the need to have the same look? I once had a bathroom which was top to toe lilac - I embraced it by calling it 'fantasy in lilac'. Before & After: A Bathroom Goes From Pinky Peach to Sleek and Chic |
