I love the clean look and pops of color you have in your room. I vote for the soft ottoman although it does seem as if it might be very large.

I agree with those who suggest a larger rug to delineate the living area. Because you have blocks of color I would like to see a bit of pattern even if it is subtle. Perhaps white with some flecks of bright colors? Grey and white pattern? Silver tonal pattern?
