Cheese in oatmeal?! Holy crap. I'm there.

My old German exchange student just visited a few months ago and remarked that Americans put cheese on everything. And I'm now willing to admit she's right. Because cheese makes (nearly) everything better and the rest of the world should be jealous of how smart we are.

Mine ALL come from Whole Foods - that place is the king of guilty pleasure foods. I have a whole list!

- Justin's Chocolate Almond Butter (an expensive indulgence... eeps)
- Annie's Organic White Shells
- Their big greasy pizza slices with lots and lots of red pepper flakes
- Those little heart-shaped gingersnap-spelt cookies
- Pre-iced coffee that costs $4 and I could easily do myself with my Keurig but I just don't feel like it

And P.S. - I NEED those grapefruit slices! I absolutely loathe segmenting grapefruit because it always produces a huge pool of juice that drips down my legs and onto my kitchen floor (we have cement floors and honest-to-God there's a grapefruit stain below my cutting board) and I get half a cup of grapefruit out of it.

My tea towels are constantly falling off the handle on the oven. I pick them up at least four times a day. But I have no other place to put them!

I cannot STAND "potato patties" made with leftover mashed potatoes or steamed carrots with dill. I cannot stand dill at all anymore, in fact.

This one I did to myself: I had scarlet fever when I was 17 years old (who gets that anymore? This was just 8 years ago!) and I hadn't eaten anything in 2 days and my mom insisted that she get me something - whatever I wanted. I thought maybe sushi would be a good idea, and it sounded kind of okay, but it SAT in my stomach for what felt like a week and I couldn't eat sushi for several years after it without feeling ill. Honestly, I still feel a little gross when I eat sushi, which is sad, because I absolutely loved it beforehand.

A quiche packed with fresh vegetables would be a nice, quick dish - all they'd have to do is microwave it quick, and voila!

Oh man, the lingonberry jam. Every time I go to Ikea, a stop at the food court is absolutely necessary and I always, ALWAYS get the meatballs with jam.

Joanna Goddard posted an idea not so long ago--a baked potato bar. Genius AND filling! You can dress it up (caviar) or dress it down (bacon). I can't wait to try it.
