Oh, just thought of more. The Artful Vegan has some seitan and tofu but mostly not and Dirt Candy has a large portion of vegan recipes and is free of these things I think.

This is like asking, "Man, I would love a cookbook without worcestershire sauce", which is kind of a ridiculous request and hard for me to guarantee without mechanically going through every ingredient listing.

Mediterranean Vegan Kitchen, Dreena Burton's books, the Indian Vegan Kitchen, the Asian Vegan Kitchen (except for what tofu would naturally be in Asian cooking), Heidi Swanson's cookbooks are mostly vegan and are fake meat free.

That's just what I can think of off of the top of my head, so have fun shopping.

I love Springpad. I can add recipes to my cookbook with one click (well, actually two!) and use the pin board to visualize menus.

We had two sushi making parties that were great fun. I do recommend keeping the number of guests small. We had over ten folks and we were all spread out and had trouble making sure that the needed ingredients were close enough to everyone.

My number one tip: WET YOUR HANDS. Sushi rice is hella sticky.

I live in a housing co-op, so we share dinner 5 nights a week! When I move out in a few months, I plan on trying to host weekly dinners for my friends within bike riding distance. I love to cook and my friends love to eat... so voila!
