I absolutely love the simplicity. Babies really don't need much, and this room has all the necessities, done beautifully, without extra clutter. What a fantastic idea! I love the beautiful paper patterns that you chose. My 2 y/o daughter loves pinwheels, so we're definitely going to try this. I like 4 of them and don't care so much for the other 2, so I guess the odds are in my favor that I'd get one that I'm OK with. It does seem a little weird that they don't let you choose... I have to disagree with paperdollsforboys. I think the characters are all charming and just silly and colorful enough to take the scary edge off for kids. I think that when kids are around fun "harmless" monsters, it takes away some of the fear from the IDEA of monsters. I think these sculptures are creative and great. We also love California Baby and use their "Overtired and Cranky" bubble bath, which also smells great. The bubble wand is a HUGE hit at bath time, and there are 2 inside for parent and child. We also love their Calendula cream for almost everything - - scrapes, burns, diaper rash, chapped cheeks, etc, and they have great sunscreen, including one that comes in a handy "stick" for easy diaper bag transport. Three books we love are: "Old Turtle" by Douglas Wood with phenomenal watercolor illustrations and a great message; "One Red Dot" by David Carter with a red dot hidden in fabulous pop-up artwork on each 2-page spread, and "Friends" by Helme Heine with a fun story and engaging/fun watercolor illustrations. We had the Parents Busy Zoo from Target, and it was the most played with toy for a year and a half (from when she was 1 'til 2 and a half) by her and pretty much every child that came over to play!
