It feels much softer and/or more feminine in the after design. Maybe that's what you were going for with the changes.

Cute, but unsafe with those stairs which at minimum, are going to ensure sore feet or scuffed up walls.

Let's face it: most wallpapers are expensive.

No, they are not. But coming up with a more original way to open a blog post certainly requires one to expend a tad more time.

I have had a Briggs and Riley briefcase for 21 years now. Had to send it in twice for very minor repairs (no questions asked) on the straps/clasp but otherwise nary a scratch.

Definitely brighter. For some reason, it has a laundry room feel to it though. Maybe all those baskets?

That second recipe with the herbs and shallots is one of my favorite dishes. So good.

Great reminder. It would be fantastic if you had put links underneath each of the mirror tips you offered, ones that illustrate the idea in action.

Major improvement, but it's calling out for some curved shape the massing is so straight-lined.

It's really quite handsome and homey. I would need a few more pieces with curves since so much of the furniture and accent pillows are linear and straight line in shape.

Ironic that you recently did a post about not having time to make a decent breakfast, but now you're promoting an excessive amount of time to make breakfast food for dinner. Ah, to each her own.

I like the new design as a whole and know it will probably be refined over time.

I see no reasons though why you haven't preserved a way for visitors to see every post in one place. If we have to hunt and peck in the hopes of finding something we might be interested in, you are going to lose interest and attention of some people.

It's easier to skip right by things in one consolidated stream that hold no interest for me than it is to visit multiple channels on the off chance one of them might have a post I want to read that your algorithm gurus haven't yet decided to push to the main page. A site should make it easier for us to consume more content, not harder.

Even the simplest food can appear elegant and upscale if presented appropriately. Once you decide what you want to serve, think about more upscale ways to present it.

Last week I did a very simple molded couscous salad in the center of a plate, surrounded by lightly dressed frisee with slivered figs and goat cheese. You'd have thought it had taken hours given the way people gushed.

125 sq ft is not a small bathroom, so there couldn't have been too much challenge to incorporate a tub and a shower. It's much improved, albeit a tad generic in my eyes.

I think the pull out narrow shelves/drawers accomplish just about the same thing and don't require the space you'd need to swing those big cabinet doors open wide.

I love how some people label certain house tours to be those of normal people compared to others as if there is one universal normal. I get the intent, but come on, there are lots of norms available for people to relate to, not just yours.

I like it, but it some instances it felt just a small step away from "forced eclectic." I'm sure if you know the guys or are in the space it is more likely to be experienced as authentic. In excerpt photo form, there were moments when I felt we were working through a checklist of funky or cool things required in the space (vase filled with old toy cars? check).
