That's one of the many things I miss about California. You can find some amazing driftwood on the beaches.

Does anyone know where I can buy driftwood pieces in the NYC area? The beaches around the city aren't that plentiful. thanks!

My mom used Cream of Mushroom Soup with meatballs over egg noodles. Looking back, I can see it was made on a budget to feed a family of five for a very low cost.

I use the K-cups...BUT...I buy the very strong, dark coffees and use the K-cups twice and sometimes three times before disgarding them. Yes, by the third cup, it's not as strong, but it still have flavor as if I'm having a lighter version.

Wow! I found a lamp similar to that. But instead of glass, it's more solid brass (it weighs a ton). After a good cleaning, it looks stunning with a a new shade.

I moved into a building where my neighbor was in his 80's and was very quiet. After two years, he passed away and a young guy (20's) moved in. He refuses to carpet his hardwood floors, which would eleviate much noise. And also he makes phone calls to Russia - in thier time zone, so around 3AM my time. Lastly, there's his sexual activity. Well, he's young. LOL! I spoke to him twice when it got too loud. The third time, I used a broom to my ceiling. It's been quiet since. KNOCK WOOD!

Finding a way to clean him has been tough. I actually have glass straws, and finding a bottle brush small enough to get inside has been a challenge. I've been using pipe cleaners. any other suggestions deep appreciated.
