Hiring movers was the best $400 I ever spent. I have an really heavy, cumbersome bed (it has drawers built in to the base), so I didn't want to put any friends through trying to move it that beast. The movers were wonderful, the whole thing took 2 hours and it was a total breeze. Plus, there ended up being a big snowstorm that morning (gotta love Chicago in April), so it would have been a mess trying to do it myself

I think the set up looks pretty good. If entertaining is important to you, then I would go with what you have in the floor plan. I definitely wouldn't do the dining room in that small second bedroom, but it seems like the tv and couch would work pretty well.

thanks for the comments! I might go ahead and get it. It's good to know that it's sturdy, despite being assembled furniture... that was definitely part of my concern! As far as the weight limit, its more secondary seating and I doubt will have more than one person sitting on it as a time, so it should be ok.

My neighbors upstairs love to walk around in their shoes, which gets very nosy (who wears high heels around the house at 11 on a Tuesday night?). And their new dog that they keep in a cage in the room above mine when they are gone, sounds like it's being strangled and trying to dig through the floor.

But after reading all of these posts, I'm realizing that I have it pretty good.

If I nap on the bed, I'm done. I prefer taking my naps on the couch, snuggled up with a blanket

Definitely a book (or 3) and some good tunes on my ipod. If I have reading material and music to drown out whatever noise is around me, I can be happy anywhere!

I think if you really wanted to add a color, I would go with yellow, which I also think could be carried in to the living room with the grey. However, I might just stick with white since the aqua is pretty bold. For storage, you could put up a couple of shelves on the wall above where the tile ends. Since it'd be open, you could get some cute containers to keep things like qtips, cotton balls in, etc.

well if you live in Bucktown/Wicker Park, you may have had a cougar roaming your neighborhood!

pretty sure paranormal activity doesn't fly as a legal reason for breaking a lease. i think your best bet would be to try your hardest to find some other reason that you should legally be allowed to be released from the lease
