Don't like it at all. There is absolutely no way someone could actually use that as a sofa, especially not in the place where they have it positioned in that photo. How do you recline on it? The rails are too low all the way around to support that. Might be fine for sleeping, but that's about it. Ick.

Anyone know what kind of flat panel television that is? I suspect it may be a frame that's been attached, though I can't tell.

I love their stuff. Expensive? Yes, but worth it. I own a cream colored version of that white rocker shown above, and it's really beautiful. Great lines.

We had those large (and dangerous) multi-color bulbs back when I was growing up, and I adored them. Loved them even more when the paint chipped off a little. Gave it a certain wasi-sabi vibe, I guess.

Years later I purchased a whole bunch of similar lights, and was rather disappointed. They just weren't as fantastic as I remembered, and seemed overly bulky and kind of drab. So I'm part of the clear / white crowd now. And lots of them (wrap the tree twice for more visual volume).

Curious to know -- where are you ordering it from? A google search turned up unicahome as the only place to get one.

I actually own this mirror (purchased earlier this year) and it's flat out *gorgeous*. The photo here really doesn't do it justice. It has a definite presence, and looks amazing.

That said, I've been constantly asked by people if the quills are real. I've always stated they're fake just to calm people's inner animal lover, but I never knew if that was truly the case.

So after seeing this AT post I decided to contact Horchow. They weren't 100% sure either, so they contacted the manufacturer. They replied soon thereafter that the quills are *not* real, and are manufactured to both look and feel like the real thing. It's true -- the wood they use is curved and has a tactile quality that makes it seem very organic. But at least we now know no animals were harmed in the production of this mirror. ;)

I don't have any particular experience with that sofa, but I do own two sofas from Room & Board and they're both great. They have the integrated hookups to connect their sectional pieces (unlike some companies), and the quality is great.

As for style, I'd be cautious purchasing one that has an angled chaise like that. For one, the length typically isn't as long as the "straight" chaise, so you won't be able to stretch out as much. You may also have issues placing the sofa if you move to a new place (and the angle is on the wrong side).

My 2 cents.

Trust me, I'm a die hard typography nut, but this table is rather ugly. It feels incredibly heavy, busy, and the muddy red/maroon/black colors aren't very appealing.

I think the main problem here isn't their design -- which is obviously great -- but overexposure. They're beautiful, but can also be rather boring and expected. For that reason I always try to find new pieces that echo mid century without being so obvious. Easier said than done for there's a lot of crap out there.

Yeah, it's everywhere. Or at least w/ people who frequent design blogs (like...obviously...YOU). Publisher must be doing pretty well with 'em.

I own a Ligne Roset side chair/rocker w/ ottoman, and it's a wonderful piece. Also have a great side table that telescopes to whatever height you need. Both have held up extremely well over the years. Wish I could afford some of their 'larger' items for I think they make really great stuff (though some is just a bit *too* abstract for my taste).

Ooooh - Spacify? Never been to their site before. That sofa looks great. If I were in the market for an expensive sofa, I'd take theirs over DWRs, which looks borderline Ikea to me for some reason. Maybe it's the skinny legs.

Dining chair is great. Looks like a more modern take on a mid century Wegner.

One thing Ikea seems to have finally figured out is what "white" actually looks like. Last time I was there a few weeks ago, they were clearing out existing inventory of some of their "white" desks for dirt cheap. Asked a rep why that was, and it was because they were replacing them all with a brighter, more true-white update. They look much better than the old muddy ikea-white.
