I'm going to add my thanks for this column also. I decided at the beginning of the year that I was wasting a lot of money on things I already had in the house but hadn't used. I made a list of things I didn't need this year, quite a long list and I've made a couple of small adjustment's to the list for example I decided I really didn't want to live without fresh flowers if I could afford them. I've stopped a lot of the tempting 'shop' emails that come to me, however yesterday one just slipped through and now I can't stop thinking about the pretty blue jewellery I just have to have. I'm so blessed to have a roof over my head, food on the table, fresh water, a wonderful husband and two beautiful mutts why can't I be happy with all of that. I'm going to read this column again and again today.

I sympathise with the difficulties of being a sick mummy or daddy.

I kind of think though AT is getting off the rails here, if this turns into a parenting or wedding planning site I'm out.

Congrats the pantry looks great. We did our pantry on the weekend and I was horrified at the amount of food that was out of date. Horrible waste. So I made a list of what we had and I've set a reminder for six months down the track to do it again and hopefully that will help.

Hope you achieve it all ciddyguy, we realise so much when someone close dies.

I'd love to go to Paris this year. I use to travel a lot when I lived in Australia but now that I live in the US, I feel guilty not travelling home to see my family. Maybe not feeling so much guilt should be on my bucket list.

Woke up this morning full of good intentions, I was going to race and get the grocery shopping done and then start on the kitchen and have it done by dinner tonight. Then my dog found something disgusting to roll in, tracked it through the house so I had to wash her, wash her collar, find what she had touched in the house and clean it. Now I have the joy of hunting in the backyard to clean up whatever crap she found. Not what I'd planned but I guess that's the way it goes. I think I'll just aim for one pantry shelf today.

My intention this year was to save money. I made a list of things I wasn't going to buy and flowers were on it. I lasted three days, my resolve was so strong and then came this morning's assignment. I caved and the flowers look so pretty but please Maxwell no candles, books or mani/pedi's in the January Cure.
