Meals are a sharing time with my family. I would rather just skip a meal than eat alone. I avoid dining out alone like the plague. If Im hungry ill just munch a pickle or a pretzel or two while I'm doing something else. I grew up in a time when the table was where the family got together to discuss their day and to laugh. Eating alone just does not feel right to me at all. So no I do not ritualize the place settings for my pickle.

Project Glass is pretty cool, I will buy it. Loved my Jawbone UP till it bricked, now it is out of production and is not for sale unless you can find some old stock. But if you buy old stock it will brick. I miss it and when if ever it goes into production again I will buy.

i prefer the bookbook by twelvesouth. It feels and looks like an antique.

madameme- I stand corrected. This forum has done a great job highlighting the other choices lately. I am biased to support the one I have. When i broke the zipper due to my own clumsiness twelve south replaced my bookbook free of charge and no trouble at all. So I think they have earned my loyalty.

This is the coolest thing I have ever seen. The island while not the topic of this great post is a jaw dropper. I'm an open shelving kind of cook and rewash for dust on a regular basis. I would be tempted to always leave these doors open.

dodocase and bookbook have been doing this for awhile now and their products beat the pants off pad n quill. This post looks like a advertisement.

Great eye for placement and design....the unleveled lampshades however are sending my OCD into overdrive. I feel compelled....no driven to spend the next three hours visiting my lamps with a level in one hand and a black russian in the other.
