I like comments esp about breaking out a "new" wardrobe. On the downside, when I bust out the warm weather clothes after winter, I can see a definite need to get back to excersing and cutting back on big hearty winter meals! <VBG> Time for light slads and dinners. It is hard to tell what you had put in. If those are Leyland Cypress, they will be twenty feet tall in just a few years and will overtake your entire side. They will also bust up those nice stone walls you have. What is your goal for the plantings? Is it to enhance the entry or to provide privacy for the deck/entry area? You will need to have that answered before you can move on to utilizing different plants. I had the same thought about the blue bags. How do they know we have already paid for it? IKEA also sells cool reusable non-blue bags. Everyone loves them. They change with the season and are large and sturdy. I used my black and white striped one this weekend at...IKEA :-) BTW I think the plastic would be less problematic if they put more than one item per bag. Why do I need a bag for the milk? It will cover that entire trellis. The fastest way to encourage top of the trellis growth it is to remove the leaves and shoots from the bottom and encourage top growth. In two years your trellis will be covered. You will have the beautiful vine and ark around the trellis supports and the leaves and flowers will drape down from the top.
