It's like this post was written for my husband: leftovers AND breakfast? I have a feeling I will be preparing all of these in the coming days. ;-)

We like to do the same "type" of dishes but in different ways: always mashed potatoes, green beans, rolls, stuffing, sweet potatoes, etc. but each year a new preparation. It's kind of the best of both worlds; you know what to expect, but there's still a nice twist or surprise.

However, my mom's pumpkin pie remains the one constant. :-)

Crudite with some kind of dressing or dip, crostini with artichoke heart, olive and roasted red pepper (I always have these things on hand), with some sharp cheddar and goat cheese.

I'm definitely with you. I don't have any issues with lactose, and I would rather have organic cow's milk than overly processed almond, rice or soy milk. Plus, aside from the calcium (which I typically get from leafy greens, as I probably only consume about 1 cup of dairy product a day on average), the fat in milk actually has some benefit to us as well.

I loved Dirt Cups. I remember making them in second grade with 3 different kinds of chocolate pudding; apparently to help us understand the layering of soils and sediments? I don't know, but it was the most delicious lesson we ever had in school. :-)

I am behind you ONE HUNDRED PERCENT on this. I like pumpkin in its savory form; that's where you get the real natural squash taste. Pumpkin soup with a little paprika, sage, and some lemon to brighten it up? Sold. Pumpkin with gruyere is one of the greatest combinations on earth.

Also, I feel like I am the only person alive that can't stand the "Pumpkin Spice Latte". So sweet and syrupy! Yuck!

I currently have mostly non-stick cookware (left over from a wedding gift) but I'm not a huge fan. I really prefer cast-iron, stainless steel, and copper (in my dreams!). I'm trying to re-build my set one piece at a time.

Such a great idea. I know that I have evenings when the pantry is bare and I have to come up with something; our pantry/fridge staples are usually beans, rice or quinoa, lemons, celery, carrots, and broccoli. I will definitely be trying some of these out!
