jpelg - the garage is right next to the family room, accessible by a door. It's not all that inconvenient considering we don't really watch Blu-ray disks all that often. We've been doing a lot more streaming.

We did consider the temperature fluctuations and how they would affect our electronics. So far, we have not had any issues and the cabinet seems to keep them quite cool, despite July having been 90-100 degrees just about every day.

Husband loves having TV in the bedroom and I am not the biggest fan of it. Mostly because I like to read at night but tend to get distracted by the TV. He needs to have it on to fall asleep, which annoys me because I usually need to wait for it to be off to fall asleep, thus getting the shorter end of the stick.

Then again, sometimes it is nice to watch TV in bed, especially when sick.
