I wish the AT/Ohdeedoh folks could play nicer together. This is not a "design" post. This is a post on a themed birthday party which used to be standard fare on Ohdeedoh. You just never saw them before unless you went to that site directly. Sure it's a bit trendy/hipster (thinking SE PDX on Portlandia :) ), but so are elements of most of the AT design posts, and in no way does this seem over the top to me. i love my granite countertops! they are beautiful and so functional. the only other thing i love the look of is marble, but that seems very tough to care for. we used the billy bookcases for a "built-in" wall at our old house and they did great with all of our heavy medical books and photo albums etc. No problems at all and the people who bought the house liked them so much they made a special clause in the contract that we had to include them in the sale.
