This a really great space. First of all, the wall next to the bed isn't awkward at all. I have an aversion to the Kelly Wearstler school, so this is what I would do with $120: 1. Organize, clean, and de-clutter. If possible, pull all furniture out while reconsidering furniture placement (see below). This is totally free and feels fabulous! 2. Replace those dark drapes with a single wooden blind or shear roller blind (with a neutral linen look). Please be sure it fits INSIDE the window frame, if possible. These can be found cheaply at Lowe's...just look! 3. A neutral sisal rug lighter than the painted floor, or even something industrial, would help pull the room together. 4. Stain or paint the bedside tables a warm brown. 5. Play with furniture placement and lighting!!! Could you place the head of the bed between the closets? Does Lowe's have bedding? If so, invest.
