Hi Borage - such a great question! The number one thing you can do to get featured is to take a nice photo. Clear, with item fully in the frame, and isolated from the background/other items is best. Other than that, it's just what catches my eye, if I like the item, etc... Affordable Finds: Chrome Chair, Console & Slat Table The Friday MORNING Scavenger |

@mribaro - good question! there are actually two almost identical bathrooms in the condo. the marble one is the "master" and is a bit bigger, which you can't see in the photo. this is the smaller of the two. Before & After: World's Ugliest Condo Bathroom |

hi thorndale - all good questions. we live in an old storefront on an otherwise residential street. As a temporary solution, we put up corrugated plastic for privacy. it's not ideal, but I can absolutely lean against the glass/plastic. The glass is very, very thick, with a gap in between two panes, so it's not cold at all. of course, I just completed these and it's not terribly cold out, so that could change. The view outside the window is other homes. I can see the rooftops only from where I sit in the living room. Dabney's January Cure: Week 5 (and a Before & After) January Cure Diaries |

@MidniteSunLtd - howdy! I agree, $2K is a significant chunk of change for some, which is why I included the second, less expensive, version for $555. If you like this look, you should be able to do a room for well under $2K, including whichever additional furniture you choose. Hope that makes sense - and thanks for all your comments! I'm in Tower Grove. It's an old storefront that we converted ourselves - there are tons of them in Saint Louis so you should have no problem finding one if that's what you're interested in. Get in touch if you do; you know we love tracking before and after renovations here at Apartment Therapy :) Dabney's January Cure: Week Three January Cure Diaries |

It's corrugated plastic cut to size and tacked in. At some point we will frost them, but this was a low cost solution in the meantime. They do the trick, although they do buckle somewhat. Dabney's January Cure: Week Three January Cure Diaries |
