We have a lack of good bagel places around here so we made 64 homemade bagels and froze them in freezer storage bags just before my daughter was born. We lived off of those bagels. My husband had no time off work and I had no helping hands with a brand new baby, so they saved my life. Carbs + hungry nursing mom = the best! Just throw them in the toaster oven and scarf! The functionality of a kitchenaid mixer is totally different from a food processor. If blending is your issue get an immersion blender, if you want to blend and shred get a food processor. That being said, if you're going to get an immersion blender get a nice one! I went through two of those Cuisinart immersion blenders in two months- they're total crap, there's a plastic part in there that melts when the motor gets hot (and even if you register the product Cuisinart charges almost what a new one costs in shipping to replace it). Michael's has a decent range of larger sizes and when you use their coupons they can be pretty affordable. We just framed five prints for about $80 including matting. 10 Large Art Prints Under $60 |

We use SKS bottle for our home business (www.thisandthatjam.com) because shipping costs suck and once you reach the $300 minimum it all ships for free (not that you'd spend that much on bottles for little gifts, but you know...) We haven't gone grocery shopping in ages so I was scraping at the bottom of the barrel- chopped up some brussel sprouts and fried them up until they were crispy and combined it with some pinto beans I seasoned. Not bad. What Are You Eating for Lunch Today? |
