Le Creuset already has an avocado color out. It's exclusive to Crate & Barrel. I forget what's it's called but it's not terribly attractive. It's an olivey green that shades to a blackish green. I can see the saffron and that avocado sitting on a reddish copper range - but NOT in my house....LOL! Staub's Newest Color: Saffron Home + Housewares Show 2012 |

Is blue box a store or a website? All I get looking on the net is a communications firm. I remember they had a site years ago where you could order a lot of things from IKEA there for reasonable prices, but then I could never find that site again. 5 Places To Shop For IKEA When There Isn't One Around |

So cute! LOVE it. It's now so bright and cheerful. The only things I would change is to paint the shelf as suggested, and add some small molding strips painted in the same white to where floor and walls join, or just to that wall-floor join with the chevron as it looks a little ragged there. You can adhere them with construction adhesive. You might want to add a molding to where the white and yellow colors join on the walls too for a more finished look. GREAT job! If you don't want to replace the pot with LC I would turn it with the chip to the wall and keep it on your counter to store things in. As it has sentimental value you could have it still be useful in another way. Is It Possible To Seal or Repair My Chipped Le Creuset Pot? Good Questions |

I love the color but I agree that food doesn't look very appetizing in it. Picture a brownish braise or stew in it and you will get my point. Food looks even worse in the Misty Lilac as there were pictures posted of it being used on FlickR. The lighter color is called Misty Lilac and it is available at some signature stores in the cast iron and also abroad. They need a beautiful celadon green. The jade color they used to have was much prettier in the stoneware. Wish they would do that shade in the iron. A shaded, soft, lighter French blue would also be gorgeous. The chrome handles separate, and then you can just lift the top off. Very clever design! Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Vitamin-Inspired and Pure White: New Colors for Staub |

You know with every crazy kitchen gadgets on the market they also need one to tackle this problem too. Maybe an oven size metal frame with removable silicone sheet sides you can place the item you're roasting inside, to contain the mess. Then just remove the pieces from the frame and place in the dishwasher. Even heat safe electrostatic sheets that adhere to oven surfaces would help, maybe disposable. I'm surprised there aren't more options for this problem on the market. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | More Adventures in Oven Cleaning |

Also you can do mini no bake cheesecakes in it. Pour melted chocolate on top, let it cool, and then pour your cheesecake mixture over it and sprinkle the top with chocolate wafer crumbs and cool to set. Unmold and you should have chocolate covered cheesecakes. Would be fun to also layer no bake desserts with fruit puree like raspberries and then the chocolate layer on top. I wonder what would happen if you poured melted chocolate up to the first indentation of the chocolate tier, and then poured the batter over that. Best case scenerio would be that the chocolate firmed up when cool, and kept the lettering intact on top and remained separate but fused to the brownie. Citron is an older color that has been brought back. It seems Le Creuset is recycling a lot of it's older colors. Azure is also a color that was discontinued and brought back. White has also been brought back by Bloomies and Sur La Table, and gloss black is back at Bloomies. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Citron: New Le Creuset Color at Williams-Sonoma |

www.lnt.com has the petit roti roasting pan by All-Clad for only $115.19. That includes the All-Clad rack. It's about 11 X 14 and holds up to a 12 lb. turkey. The AC roaster though isn't tri-ply but pure stainless. There were warping issues with the larger one but the small one is great and more versatile I think than the larger. That ad makes me never want to eat steak again! I think they should fire their ad agency. Yuck! How much better a photo of a big juicy rare steak with beautiful grill marks. Boring but not sickening as this ad is. The cliffs of meat look withered and dried out. The idea is to get people to eat their meat by making it look appetizing, not to show a photo that looks like someone ate it and threw it back up! It's absolutely horrid! I just saw this at Williams Sonoma and it does look prettier in person. The cover has a lot of shading that you don't see in the photo. It shades from a medium deep grey to a medium light grey. It has small speckles too where you see small specs of a deeper grey from where they sprayed it. A nice effect. It also has a nice glow to it, looking a touch metallic. It is pretty in person, but it really doesn't go with the other colors if you're the type that wants several pieces in different bright colors. It would mix well with the Dune, Black Satin, and Cherry Red. Williams Sonoma showed it with the Dune, and their Azure Blue. Most of the other Le Creuset colors work together if you're doing a mixed set. I don't think this would fit in with the other bright colors. It would work maybe with their Dune and discontinued white, discontinued Granite and black, and maybe the Kiwi or Cherry Red thrown in as an accent. Here's another where I tried to make the kitchen part of the living space as you requested. It might be a little far from the kitchen though. If you can't move the gas line, if you have 220 current, you can use an induction cooktop. You could leave the stove where it is, and just have that space for eating and serving. There's room for cabinets below. You also can not do the peninsula, and no connecting piece, and just have a rectangular, or round glass dining table there. That would be lighter and airier looking and not take up space visually. Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Good Question: How Do We Solve This Apartment Kitchen? |

Thanks Amilelka. Yes, it is much smaller, but the space it had before wasn't usable as it needed to be clear as it was an entry point into the bedroom, and you also needed clear access to the closet. It was also hard to place the bed before as you had the bathroom opening. That space though is usable in the kitchen, and makes it much larger and more functional. I love playing with floor plans. Wanted to be an architect at one point ;-). Apartment Therapy The Kitchn | Good Question: How Do We Solve This Apartment Kitchen? |

And another where you don't have to go through the bedroom to get to the bathroom. You have to give up a lot of the bedroom to get this, but you get a better kitchen, and good closets but in the living toom. It's all a matter of what you want to give up, but this works much better. I think a 12 qt. stockpot is way too big for an everyday pot. I would prefer an 8 qt. instead. There's also no cover for the saucepan. Myself, I have All-Clad and Le Creuset and I do appreciate good cookware, but all there are lower price quality alternatives like Cuisinart Multiclad for the All-Clad, and Lodge Color for the Le Creuset. The items listed are low quality and disposable. I believe in buy good, and buy it once. I think someone is better off spending more, getting good tools that they would enjoy and will have for years to come, and then adding other quality pieces a little at a time. The $100 might buy a lot, but it's things that won't hold up. They also won't be the most pleasant tools to cook with, and will discourage a starting cook.
