I too have doors with large windows and have used a couple of different ideas. My entry door is metal, so I use a magnetic curtain rod that expands to fit the window, and added a sunflower flag to cover the windo. The window is beveled glass, and the flag of Picasso's sunflowers peeks through just beautifully. This could be changed to a seasonal flag - but the sunflowers always bring me a smile. Of course you could use a regular curtain instead. The side window, although narrow, could use a cafe rod mounted inside the frame. For my sister's house, we used twin size bedsheets on the rod, wrapping and draping to get a great look. My back door has a wood-framed paned glass - so I added a cafe rod half-way up to provide some privacy, and used material left over from a chair that was recoverd. Easy peasy!

What beautiful windows and such a nice room. How about a stained glass effect on the top-most pane? Too much? I like the height of the rod for the curtains and I like the idea of a soft, light-diffusing material.

My sister in law and her aunt got a little more crafty and etched Texas-appropriate flowers/bees/bugs onto honey jars and other types of jars, then wired them to hang from tree branches or grapevine swags. Absolutely beautiful for a summer wedding. Little candles and sand...all aglow. Perfect!

Love it! Love it! Love it! Being that I love color, I love to write and do my own style of calligraphy - what a wonderful thing to do! Gee, now I only need the courage!
