I'm on board with the folks that are against room dividers. I think they make the room look cramped and the best thing about a studio is the openess. I'd suggest using rugs and/or tall stacked bookcases like they have at DWR or CB2 to demarcate spaces that are used for different purposes. It will make it a much more pleasant space to live in.

The sofa is from Room & Board as are the easy chairs and the ottoman. Thanks for all the lovely comments, oh and AT chooses the name not the contestant :)

Thank so much for all of your nice comments. To answer people's questions:

1) The paint color in the entry way is actually the same throughout the apartment it just looks different in the dimmer livingroom lighting. It's Benjamin Moore "Silver Lake".

2) Yes the pictures are Wayne Pate.

3) I love the Luna credenza. It looks great and it's incredibly well made. It actually made me realize how poorly made a lot of my stuff is in comparison. I highly reccomend it.

4) Yep I entered last year with the unfortunate title "Lindsay's Little Box". Decided to take things in a less sleek modern direction this time around.

What color of gray paint is that on your walls? I'm moving into a new place next month and that's exactly what I've been looking for?

The fridge is a SUMMIT Professional although I am not a huge fan of it. It has strange drawers in the bottom freezer portion that are hard to work with.

Gorgeous! Love the colors and the feminine, sophisticated look. Curious though...how do you handle having your kitchen in the same room as your bedroom? Is it decorated the same way as the bed area or did you try to differentiate it somehow. Love your furniture pieces too!

I have that bathroom wallpaper in my hallway and I love it with the grassy looking rug. Awesome.

Not quite....the dresser is from West Elm and the bookcase is from DWR :)

For the artwork over the couch, the two prints were a gift and I can't remember the name of the artist but they are from the Brooklyn Flea. The photograph I got from Etsy from a British photographer.

In the hallway I have a series of Ork posters (Philadelphia, Brooklyn & New York) and a coat rack. I wanted to take a photo of the hallway but it was hard to get a good shot because it is so long and narrow.

For office type stuff I keep a box for files in the closet and have a laptop that I prefer to use while curled up on the couch or in my chair.

Thanks again for all the nice comments!

If you like the one from UO and it works Iw oudl go for that. Even if it does disentegrate in a few years that's probably right about when you will be ready to move on to non-dorm furniture. Also looks like it folds out which is always handy for overnight guests.

Thank you everyone for the super nice comments!!!

Yes a lot of my furniture is from CB2, including the tables. They were having a sale when I moved in that if you brought in 5 canned good you got 15% off your whole purchase and they had a lot of stuff that worked well in the space so I went a little wild there.

The couch and the chair are both from Room & Board. The chair is the Cole Chair.

My bedding is from Blissliving.

Thanks again for all the comments. It's so much fun to get feedback!

Love the divider. That's brilliant. This is so well currated. Love the color scheme and how warm yet bright and open it feels. Impressive!

Love the orange bathroom. You did a fantastic job with that. The red walls and red couch are a little too much for me, but I love the carpet on carpet and how you used it to define the space.

It is a little too spare color-wise for my taste, but I applaud the open storage. That is very hard to pull off and it is amazing that you have two people living there and have still made room for your work. The apartment manages to feel light and airy even with the small amount of space and must be a nice place to come home to.

Kitschens, I am allergic to cats as well and had a similar experience. When I moved in with my ex boyfriend who had a cat it was terrible for the first couple of weeks but then I got completely used to it and it was no problem, however I still had problems around other cats. Now my husband I would love to get a cat, but he had one growing up and had to get allergy shots 4 times a year for it and he's not willing to do that again. I guess whether or not you can adapt to it depends on the person.

I was really upset to discover when we moved into our new condo that our schnazy stainless steel appliances won't hold magnets! I love a well-magneted fridge, I think it makes a place look lived in and cozy and is a great place to display personal photos, but sadly I am forced into having a completely clean slate in the kitchen. Has anyone else had this problem or are my appliances just freakish?

How depressing...I really hope that doesn't mean that I have to live with the tape on my window for forever, but now that I think about it I haven't ever seen window washers on a NYC residential building either.

I usually hate brutalist architecture, but I love this! Throwing a little whimsy into the mix with the stepped boxes makes all the difference.
