Helen While I understand what you are saying, we did take that into account. The decals and the light sabers can all be removed without harming the neutral blue palate of the walls. he is then left with one bright blue wall and 3 light grey ones as well as plain white curtains. He can then have whatever he please once he develops his own personality. 

It is also important to keep in mind that part of who we become is shaped by WHO we come from, in that sense we have poured love into a space in one of the best ways we know how. 
It is no different then a family of musicians choosing a music themed room or a mechanic a cars room, as long as its done with love that is the important part. 

If he grows to love something else all together that's just fine with us, no one is forcing anyone :)  We are looking forward to learning his little personality and if he ends up loving arts, crafts, and butterflies, then I have a great excuse to re-do the whole thing, how fun!
