I have this tub and have to say it's great and well worth it (and I am usually a total cheap-o). Never have a moment of crying with my third baby using this (which I cannot say for the lie-back one I had for my first two kids). The narrower bottom keeps her legs crossed, so she seems more comfy & relaxed. Spa Baby Eco Tub Is Earth Friendly | Apartment Therapy Ohdeedoh |

We just got these in at our store and I was compelled to take some home for our kids. LOVE them! It definitely helped make my 3 yr old eat foods he'd normally not want to eat & everything looks so fun on them. Even serving the meal was more enjoyable! We have the top left one in our backyard and it looks so adorable. My 6 yr old son's excited face when he discovered it was just priceless. It inspired us to make some outdoor furnishings for the fairies nearby. An amazing book to go with the door is Fairy Houses Everywhere by Tracy Kane - it is just wow and very inspirational! Ugh no. Also how scary is it for a baby to look up and see a sinister looking dead animal's skull facing it and the potential for it to fall into the crib. It's always odd to see staged baby nurseries that are impractical and/or unsafe. Is realistic considered unstylish? Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | Skulls in the Nursery |

Have to agree, looks like something you'd see at the Humane Society or a farm, not for your babies. Also, besides seeming way claustrophobic and kind of creepy looking, how safe is this? The opening between the "cage" siderail top and bottoms look just big enough for a baby to get a head, arm or leg stuck. Save on crib cost (nearly $1,000!?!)and the future psychotherapy bills and just get 2 portacribs if space is such an issue. Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | Two-Infant Bunkie |

Why not just buy a plain one and add your own flowers to it? Probably a heck of a lot cheaper and the same effect. Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | High and Low: Green and Yellow Flowered Chandeliers |

I agree on the PVC and my kids don't live in a bubble. PVC is proven to give off toxins (that's what makes the lovely plastic-y smell you breathe in) thanks to the phthalates in it. That's why phthalates have now been banned in children's products -it's not considered safe for kids. It's in a lot of stuff so you can't eliminate it 100%, but there's nothing wrong with trying to minimize their exposure when you can. Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | CB2 Pressed Vinyl Dot Placemats |

$99 for a tub that won't last more than a couple months? That baby looks small but like it will outgrow it pretty soon. Also not liking it's made of foam - it doesn't say it's phthalate free....I'll stick to my Spa Baby Tub. Half the price, can be used longer, confirmed safe materials and has been reincarnated as a hamper until the next baby arrives. Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | Bathroom and Potty Training Must-Haves |

Teaching kids that weapons are not for fun and that real ones hurt people is the real issue. Playing with toy versions in mock violent situations or watching things full of violence desensitizes kids to the fact that the real versions cause permanent harm. There's no start over or getting back up to do it again. It's up to the parents to teach that. Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | In Mexico, Curbing Violence Before It Is Learned |

Awesome. Can't wait to show my husband (how many dads would drool over a room like this for baby!?!) and what a creative birth announcement. It is a bummer so often someone creates something unique like this with time and creativity and suddenly a mainstream version pops out of nowhere that anyone can get. Is it mini size like all the other Mammut stuff? That wouldn't surprise me. I think that style is cute, but the scale of everything is completely impractical. My 6yr old towers over the Mammut bedroom furniture. Who can afford to buy all new furniture 2-3yrs after buying this stuff? It's all too small and therefore too short lived to be realistic. A word of caution when choosing a crib these days. We had that Jenny Lind Delta from BRU because we thought it was a great deal and through 2 kids teething, it got a bit knawed on (those rounded edges are really inviting for little mouths) so some of the paint came off. We found out last year that the paint contained formaldehyde and immediately got rid of it. Not to say the crazy priced $2k cribs are loads safer, but do your homework on the cheaper ones before buying - there have been TONS of crib recalls and disclosures of creepy chemicals in the finishes of many of the main brands in the past year. We too saw the movie and just loved it. The water horse itself was just adorable and the acting was really superb. I got a little teary watching it. Will enjoy reading it to the kids, but would definitely recommend the movie too. Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | Bedtime Read-Aloud Recommendation: The Water Horse |

How cool to find another one out there! Yes this was from the 70s - I have no idea where my parents got it, but it was in my room ever since I could remember and then relegated to the basement until I rescued it this year. I'm amazed it is still in great shape (considering my 3 yr old rides in it daily). My mom said it was an ostrich, but who knows - my son calls it a rooster. So that's 3 different birds right there. Love it! That would definitely get my kids to eat just about anything. My oldest son is a big Wall-E fan. Even made a Wall-E Halloween costume (sewcando.blogspot.com), but I never thought to make Wall-E food! Apartment Therapy ohdeedoh | Look! Wall-E Bento Box |

Wow...my Hello Kitty loving much younger sister would love this, but this just feels like you're giving birth in an ad for Hello Kitty and/or a tweener's bedroom. Way too commercial for me and kind of weird - becoming a mom shouldn't involve regressing into a kid yourself at the hospital. The shiny-ness is what attracted me to these - they just look so cool. I saw them on another blog just the other day, but when I went to their site to find out more they had 14 recalls listed and all for things like breaking into small pieces and cords being too long (strangle hazard). Want to love them so much (they have the eco-friendly aspect I love), but it just doesn't sound like they've got the "safe for babies & small kids" angle down with all those issues. Domestications or Brylane Home may have what you need. I know Domestications has some regular orange throw blankets that sound like what you want. They both have a lot of bright colored bedding items for decent prices. I got our unusual color sheets & comforter from them for really cheap and were a perfect match to the rest of the room (featured in the Declan's Delight nursery tour below). Good luck!
