For all you snorers out there, tosses and turners... Do yourself a favor: Get yourself to sleep lab and find out if you have sleep apnea. It's more common than you think and even very mild forms can have a profound effect on your health- shortening your lifespan, causing illness, raises your bp; it even can effect your driving skills and your relationships.

It looks a little like an anthropologist set to me.
It might be the lighting, but the brown looks too milk choclaty for me and I find it depressing in such vast amounts.

I agree with the wallpaper comments.. It has become the Brad Pitt of wallpapers!
It's all over the place including Europe. I used to live it, now sadly it makes me cringe.

But it definitely has something nice going on:)

Some nice things, but interior seems staged or stiff in some way.
I think the groupings of pics on wall would look better with less space btwn them, then they'd act more as a whole, less like things just hanging on a wall in close proximity to one another.

Seriously?

Why do some folks insist that the owner should edit belongings.
Unless the owner is specifically asking for design help such thoughts
should be kept to oneself.

If she didn't love the cash register, let's believe she would edit it herself!

And...Yellow is such a happy color.

At our last home, I painted our front door a bright fuchsia Every neighbor near and far commented ( usually with a positive remark ) and very soon thereafter, fuchsia doors were popping up all over our town;)

Actually blue used in a kitchen is supposed to deter flies!
Hence the miles of blue and white tiles used in old French and English kitchens.

I like this kitchen a lot. It looks very European, something you'd find in Italy in their quaint and oddly shaped ancient apts. Nice boho vibe!

Love the before, would have spent money finding vintage fixtures ( they are out there).
Pink has never really been my thing either, BUT character it definitely had.

The new version, though bright and " modern "
Will look more dated in ten years than the vintage pink.

That said, looks like a nice job and I hope the owners are happy; it is, after all their bathroom!

How nice to see a kitchen redo that actually has personality!
Do many new kitchens look like magazine ads.
Love it!
Love the colors!

Bon Appetit:)

Inside The Lovely Studio Of Adore Vintage Workspace Tour

I have painted, wallpapered, tiled, ripped out carpeting, refinished floors, installed mantels and mounted my flat screen tv on the wall in almost every rental. I've never had any trouble with my landlords.
They've even gone so far as to pay me after the fact for my good work.
Personally I think anytime a landlord has a tenant that maintains a property just as well or better than they do they are delighted.

Best advice though is live for today... Enjoy your home now!

This is NOT an abode!
But it is very nice:)
Could be all the more hip with a little tweaking.
But why does it's owner mention the lack of security on a very well read public website?
How odd!

Q: Did rent from the main house even begin to cover the costs associated with the reno?

Nevertheless a very Eco chic space!

Also it's truly frustrating that a new AT posting is actually not really current, since the former inhabitant is now living in the main house and married.
I think there should be a time limit on submissions!

Before & After: Gorgeous Garage Mini House in Seattle

The house is quite intriguing!
But I wonder, in particular about the honeycomb mirror?
Are there two?
Or did the photographer move things around during the shoot.
If so, this is unfortunate. We really arent getting a real look at the inside of this home, we're getting an edited version.
If there are two identical mirrors, I think
it's a shame that they weren't used together or as one gigantic feature somewhere!

Thankfully! as is not always the case, money and taste go hand-in-hand here.
It's not (all) my taste overall, but I think the house itself is super.
