Excellent idea that was originally introduced in 2003 by Intel technical designers in the form of lamp for adult children worried about their older parents far away. The "presence lamp" glowed when either party sat in the favorite location at home. It gave a signal that all is OK and gave a sense of comfort. It is not a substitute for 911 or a hug from a real human but a new to feel connected. How have you felt more connected with technology?
